What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA, Hospice position at Scotland Memorial Hospital?
The Hospice CNA is a member of the interdisciplinary team working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing various services for patients as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort in patient's home/facilities and/or Hospice facility. Responsible for observing the patient, reporting the observations and documenting observations and care performed.
Qualifications include current NC CNA listing; current BLS; understanding of hospice philosophy providing specialized care to the terminally ill; self directing with ability to work with little supervision; excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills; minimum 18 years of age with valid driver's license, clean motor vehicle record, reliable transportation with proper registration and insurance in accordance with state law.
