What are the responsibilities and job description for the Referral Clerk position at Scotland Memorial Hospital?
The referral clerk works in the centralized referral department for Scotland Physician Network. Responsible for performing standard work process for referrals for our family practice centers. The Referral Clerk will work with all customers to include internal and external providers, other teammates, and patients to communicate and facilitate expedited referrals. The referral department is a major part of the care delivery we provide.
Knowledge of insurance company verification and pre-certification procedures, CPT/ICD9 coding, exceptional communication, organization, and computer skills are a must.
