As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for our organization. You will collaborate with suppliers to obtain the best value, quality, and terms, ensuring that inventory levels align with company requirements and budgets. Your role is essential in maintaining the balance between cost efficiency and quality, ultimately contributing to the company's overall success.
Principle Activities
- Schedules and reschedules purchased components against planned production requirements to minimize the cost of inventory.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Process purchase orders and manage the approval process.
- Handle returns and exchanges as necessary.
- Expedites the delivery of material to support production schedules.
- Monitors supplier performance in regard to quality, delivery and price. Provides appropriate feedback, follow-up and correct action.
- Assist in the establishment of Supplier Schedules and kanbans with local suppliers. Provide follow up to ensure that both systems are in place and functioning properly.
- Fulfill the financial control and risk management responsibilities inherent in the position.
- Conduct yourself in accordance with the Company code of ethics policy at all times
Required Education/ Certification
- Proven experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role.
- Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and purchasing software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Minimal Travel
- Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week.
- Good communication and polished presentation skills.
- Professional Image.
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
