How you get to help us do that in this role:
Play a critical role providing comprehensive HR support to various field locations.
What you’ll get to do:
· Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for field employees regarding HR-related inquiries and issues.
· Recruitment: Coordinate and assist with the recruitment process, including candidate screening, interviews, and reference checks. Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process.
· Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions, preparing new hire paperwork, and ensuring a positive integration into the company culture.
· Training and Development: Assist in identifying training needs and coordinate training programs for field employees. Monitor and track training progress and ensure compliance with training requirements.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Responsible for reviewing, monitoring, evaluating and maintaining documentation required for Construction Contract Compliance. Areas of compliance responsibility will include EEO for the prime contractor and subcontractors, DBE, OJT, Davis-Bacon Act and other applicable regulations.
· Payroll and Benefits Administration: Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits-related transactions. Maintain accurate and up-to- date employee records and documentation.
· Other duties and projects as assigned.
About You
· You have a minimum of 2-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a field or remote environment.
· You like to communicate with people and have excellent interpersonal skills.
· You are proficient in HRIS and MS Office applications.
· You enjoy tasks that require organizational and time management skills.
· You take pride in handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
· You can work independently, but you also enjoy a team environment.
EVEN Better
· Bilingual in English and Spanish.
· Prior Experience in both state and federal aid funded construction projects with FDOT and knowledge of
contractor compliance.
