SUMMARY
The Teacher Assistant works with the Head Start Teacher in implementing all classroom activities including meal service. The Assistant Teacher cooperates with the Teacher, Paraprofessional and other Head Start staff in providing the best possible program. Works with children and families in the classroom and performs other duties as assigned by the teacher.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Training and Experience Guidelines
Must be proficient in Microsoft office and have previous data entry experience. At a minimum have a CDA credential or a state awarded certificate that meets or exceeds a CDA credential, or an associates or higher degree in any field. Current Infant / Child First Aid and CPR Certificate preferred.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A valid Minnesota State Driver’s License, proof of insurance and review of Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
A job in this category may include and require sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 40lbs.
