Job Title: Teacher's Aide

Job Summary: The Teacher's Aide will assist teachers and other educational staff in delivering high-quality educational services to students. This role involves working directly with students, supporting their individual needs, and helping to create an inclusive and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in the implementation of lesson plans and activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Support students with special needs, including those with physical, emotional, or learning disabilities.
- Prepare instructional materials and resources as directed by the teacher.
- Monitor and document student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Assist with the supervision of students during recess, lunch, and other school activities.
- Perform administrative tasks such as grading, attendance, and record-keeping.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions as required.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher required; or High School Education or equivalent with a CDA certification or actively working towards a CDA Certification required
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in educational software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to engage in physical activities with students as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $13.50 per hour
