Individual needed for an entry-level position to provide support in the County Clerk’s Office. The duties include, but are not limited to: receiving customers at the counter and responding to telephone and email inquiries; explaining procedures, providing standardized forms, notarization and taking requests for record searches and other information; registering and transferring vehicles; issuing auto licenses, including collecting assessed fees, taxes, calculating penalties and issuing receipts; issuing fish and game licenses; maintaining inventory of plates, decals and forms; and operating a variety of office machines, including computer, adding machine, and printer/copier/fax.
Position requires graduation from high school or possession of a GED, business school and preference will be given to applications with previous clerical or administrative assistant experience. The ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of computers and software, adding machine skills and customer service experience. Preference will be given to candidates with one or more years of experience in a clerical or administrative assistant type position. The ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is also a plus.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday 8:20 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
