As a key member of the human resources department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in the day-to-day operations of the HR team. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, performing clerical functions, answering frequent inquiries from applicants and employees, and providing general administrative support to the HR team.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Perform clerical functions such as scanning, filing, and maintaining employee personnel files.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Provide clerical support to the HR department.
- Conduct or assist with new hire orientation.
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as new-hire education days, recruiting fairs, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Prior related office experience preferred.
