Summary: As an industrial maintenance technician, you will be responsible for providing preventative and reactive maintenance in our sweet potato packaging facility. Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Basic knowledge of hand tools
Basic knowledge of mechanical concepts
Knowledge of chain drives, tension, and lubrication
Knowledge of belt drives and tension
Knowledge of photo eyes and other sensors
Roller conveyor maintenance
Laced Belt conveyor maintenance
Bearing lubrication and replacement
Pneumatic troubleshooting
3 phase electrical experience
Maintaining a safe workplace
Replacing chains and sprockets
Replacing motors and gear boxes
Checking for leaks such as oil, water, and air.·
Replacing belts and bearings
Abides by all safety, sanitation, and food safety guidelines set forth by Scott Farms, Inc.
Oversee all daily maintenance functions for packaging facility.
Answers calls to down equipment in a timely manner
Performs preventative maintenance per plant P.M. program
Performing Lock Out Tag Tag Out to ensure safe operations
Keep good inventory of parts
Oversee all contractors working in packing house
Schedule all inhouse and contract work around packing house.
Performs other related duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
