Scott Humphrey has partnered with a well-established construction firm in the Temecula area to find their next Construction Drafter as the organization continues to grow. This individual will be responsible for creating detailed construction drawings, plans, and specifications for a variety of construction projects, ensuring they meet all technical requirements and adhere to industry standards. The Construction Drafter will play a key role in translating architectural and engineering concepts into precise construction documents and will work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure the accuracy and completeness of drawings.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare detailed construction drawings and plans, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, and sections, based on specifications and design concepts.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all design elements are accurately represented and meet project requirements.
- Revise and update drawings and plans based on client or team feedback and changes in project scope.
- Ensure that all drawings adhere to applicable building codes, zoning laws, and industry standards.
- Assist in the creation of construction documents, including material specifications and installation details.
- Review project plans and specifications to identify potential issues and work with the team to resolve them.
- Support the project team by providing technical advice, assisting with plan reviews, and ensuring that designs are feasible and practical for construction.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and related documents, ensuring easy access for team members.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure drawings are understood and accurately followed during construction.
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other drafting tools to produce accurate, detailed, and clear construction documents.
