Construction Project Manager

Our client is looking for a Construction Project Manager with experience in the Glass and Glazing industry to lead and oversee construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the technical and logistical aspects of glazing systems, including commercial, residential, and specialized applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of glass and glazing projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s specifications. Act as the primary point of contact for the client, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor progress, adjust timelines, and coordinate resources to meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and clients to review design plans and specifications for glazing systems. Ensure that designs are feasible, compliant with industry standards, and optimized for performance and safety.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely and efficient execution of glazing work. Oversee their performance, quality of work, and compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective delivery of materials and labor. Identify and address any financial risks or issues, ensuring that the project remains within budget.
• Ensure that all glass and glazing installations adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations. Conduct regular inspections to monitor quality, safety, and compliance throughout the project.
• Proactively address and resolve issues or delays related to materials, labor, safety, or project scope. Ensure any challenges are addressed promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations. Lead efforts to maintain a safe work environment, mitigate risks, and comply with all relevant safety standards, including those specific to glass and glazing installations.
• Maintain accurate records of all project-related documents, including contracts, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports. Submit regular project updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP) are a plus.
• Strong understanding of glazing systems, including curtain walls, windows, facades, storefronts, and custom glass applications. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, ASTM, building codes).
• Proven track record in managing complex construction projects from start to finish. Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar) and MS Office Suite. Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capability to guide, mentor, and motivate team members and subcontractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues that may arise on-site or during project execution.
