What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent - Aviation position at Scott Humphrey Corporation?
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Assistant Superintendents, laborers, and subcontractors.
- Oversee project schedules, inspections, and site logistics.
- Maintain relationships with building officials and coordinate jurisdictional inspections.
- Identify project risks and recommend solutions to the Project Manager.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with contracts, safety policies, and quality standards.
- Monitor work progress, approve vendor payments, and manage non-performing subcontractors.
- Conduct safety and subcontractor meetings and enforce OSHA compliance.
- Review plans for inconsistencies and oversee third-party inspections.
- Organize project documentation and ensure completion of punch lists before final inspections.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction, experience on aviation projects required
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Expertise in scheduling, safety compliance, and subcontractor management.
