Job Description:
The Lead Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all field operations on large-scale commercial and healthcare construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, expertise in ground-up and renovation projects, and the ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and schedules to ensure project success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
- Develop and manage project schedules, site logistics, and sequencing plans
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, healthcare-specific protocols, and quality control standards
- Collaborate with owners, architects, and engineers to address challenges and maintain project efficiency
- Supervise subcontractors, conduct daily site inspections, and enforce contract requirements
- Oversee procurement of materials, labor allocation, and cost control measures
- Manage infection control protocols and hospital-specific regulations for healthcare projects
- Lead regular project meetings with stakeholders and provide progress updates
- Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and field staff
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in commercial and/or healthcare construction as a Superintendent
- Proven track record of leading ground-up and renovation projects exceeding $50M
- Expertise in healthcare construction regulations, infection control, and compliance
- Strong leadership and ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and teams
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
