A national general contractor with a dominant presence in mission critical construction is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Manager to oversee delivery of hyperscale data center projects across the U.S. You’ll ensure all construction activities meet the highest standards for safety, compliance, and performance—serving as a key point of accountability for field-level quality execution and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the site-specific Quality Control Plan from groundbreaking through commissioning
- Perform routine inspections and tests to verify compliance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes
- Collaborate with field teams, engineers, vendors, and commissioning authorities to ensure quality benchmarks are achieved
- Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections in accordance with industry-standard QA/QC practices
- Maintain and review quality-related records, including submittals, RFIs, punch lists, inspection reports, and test results
- Identify non-conformances, lead resolution processes, and implement corrective action strategies
- Support client walkthroughs, third-party inspections, and final turnover processes
Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience in quality control or field supervision for commercial or industrial construction
- Prior experience supporting at least one hyperscale or mission critical project, preferably from start to finish
- Strong working knowledge of MEP systems, structural components, and envelope installation
- Familiarity with commissioning protocols, system testing, and turnover procedures
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and QA/QC documentation platforms
- Ability to travel and support projects across multiple states – rotation or project-assignment model
