We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead ground-up and renovation retail construction projects across Colorado. The ideal candidate has a strong background in retail construction, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage fast-paced schedules while ensuring quality, safety, and budget adherence. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all field operations for retail construction projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors to drive project success
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and site logistics plans
- Ensure strict adherence to retail-specific building codes, safety regulations, and client brand standards
- Lead subcontractor coordination and daily site meetings to track project progress and resolve issues
- Monitor and enforce quality control measures to meet high-end retail finish expectations
- Identify and mitigate potential delays, cost overruns, and project risks
- Work closely with the Project Manager to review budgets, change orders, and material procurement
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure expectations are met
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in retail construction
- Proven success managing ground-up and renovation projects for national retailers, shopping centers, and mixed-use developments
- Strong knowledge of fast-track retail schedules, tenant improvements, and brand standards
- Experience working with tight job sites and coordinating night/weekend shifts when required
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and scheduling software
- Ability to manage multiple trades and fast-moving construction schedules
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
