Role description
We are currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. This position will ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. The “perfect fit” candidate will be reliable, work with attention to detail, adhere to safety standards, show a strong willingness to learn/improve and be a team player. The overall goal of this position is to ensure production procedures are carried out timely and efficiently.
Role responsibilities
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
- Operate tools and equipment to aid in the manufacturing process
- Adhere to company safety regulations
- Perform routine checks on all equipment and immediately report any possible malfunctions or defects to ensure quality expectations for customers
- Follow written work instructions and work tickets through to completion
- Arrive on time daily to your assigned machine
Skills and Qualifications
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Basic high school math skills (up to and including fractions and measurements)
- Machine Operators: 1 year (Preferred)
- Proven experience as a machine operator

- Pay: starting at $14.00/hr.; increased to $16/hr. once fully signed off as operator.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift – 6am-2:30pm
- Overtime and Saturdays required as necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
