Job Description
The sales representative is responsible for overseeing the sale of products or services from beginning to end. This individual is the direct point of contact with a customer (internal and external) and in charge of ensuring needs and expectations are met. A sales representative should know their product or service inside and out and guide their customers through the purchase process efficiently and satisfactorily.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the performance of his/her assigned territory.
- Services existing accounts and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing work schedule to call on existing and potential customers
- Identifying customer needs, pitching relevant products/services, and ensuring they have a positive experience
- Meet sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, reporting, and making recommendations to management
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as call reports, territory analyses, etc.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, etc.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results
- Actively involved in the collection of current and past due invoices
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products/services
- Growth……revenue, gallons, and gross profit
