What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Scott Physical Therapy?
Scott Physical Therapy is looking for a Full Time or Part Time Physical Therapist
to join our team. We are a well-respected and established outpatient orthopedic and manual therapy clinic, with occasional neurologically-involved patients. Our facility treats a vast variety of diagnoses, and we provide individualized treatments to maximize outcomes. We have a great relationship with the doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and medical community as a whole around the greater Lafayette area, and have a large amount of return patients who choose to return to us for the great care that they’ve come to expect at our clinic. Our commitment is to delivering high-quality treatments with low patient to
therapist ratios to provide the best care to our patients. We strive for effective results with
personal care.
This is an excellent career development opportunity for a Full or Part Time Physical Therapist who is looking to expand his/her skills. We are seeking:
● A graduate from an accredited college with an APTA curriculum. New Grads are welcome.
● Orthopedic and Manual based skills
● Having a Doctorate or manual therapy certification, and/or dry needling certification is not a necessity, but is a plus.
● Job Description for PT:
● Remaining up to date on our Louisiana PT Practice Act.
● Conducting patient consultations, initial evaluations, treatments, re-assessments/re-evaluations, and discharges, while teaching our clients HEP's.
● One of the services we offer to our community is an occasional free 30-minute Screening visit. You will be required (rarely) to conduct these visits and to convert theses prospective clients into patients where therapy can offer a meaningful solution to their problem, if applicable.
● Being responsible on billing appropriately, maximizing our time with each patient, while remaining compliant with state practice act and federal laws, as well as the rules of each third-party payor.
● Supervising PT techs and working with front office staff.
● Collaborating with the other PT's, as well as doctors and other referral sources when necessary.
● Being responsible for limiting “drop-offs”: You will be required to be pro-active in keeping your patients motivated from day one and making regular reactivation phone calls to the people who have dropped off of your schedule.
● Being involved in the creation of internal and external marketing material, such as blog posts, free tips reports, workshop events, and telephone calls.
●Attending all meetings (at least 5x/month).
● A desire to continuously improve your skills and knowledge base in order to be able to provide excellent therapeutic outcomes and an optimal healing environment for your patients.
