Field Trip Coordinator
Part-time, year-round
Summary:
The Field Trip Coordinator is responsible for handling all aspects of our field trips (for a variety of ages) including planning, scheduling, and operating field trips. The Field Trip Coordinator will report to the
Events Manager and may be assigned other responsibilities at our event venue based on location, attendance, staffing, and scheduling.
Key Results Area #1 – Downtime Planning
- Create scripts for wagon rides through the orchard based on age range
- Create science experiment kits for classrooms to start their field trips at school
- Design labs for on-farm activities
- Contact groups and schools to advertise field trips
Key Results Area #2 – Implementation
- Join our weekly Monday morning conference call
- Use phone, email, and text messages to communicate with customers
- Use Checkfront to book groups
- Setup all stations needed for field trips before arrival
- Organize arrival and greet groups
- Lead all tours while providing exceptional customer interaction
- Cleanup all stations, store all equipment, and prepare for the next group
Key Results Area #3 – Review
- Find out what worked and what did not
- Tweak labs to increase efficiency and interactivity
- Note facts and ideas to improve scripts to add engagement
- Find new labs that connect with real farming operations
- Participate in our annual Mock Recall
- Always be on the lookout for software that can help and inform if any is hindering
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
