About the Role:
The Lead Lifeguard will have the important role of overseeing the safety of our guests in the aquatic areas and coordinating the schedules of our lifeguard team. This role requires a committed, dependable, and professional individual with lifeguard experience and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the work of up to 25 lifeguards and coordinate their schedules.
- Ensure all lifeguards are properly trained and prepared to respond to emergencies.
- Monitor activities at the aquatics facility, ensuring policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
- Administer first aid and initiate emergency action plan as needed.
- Participate in regular in-service training sessions and staff meetings.
- Inspect aquatic equipment, facilities, and water to ensure they are safe and usable.
About You:
- Previous experience as a lifeguard, with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications required.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach as job demands.
- Must be able to work under various weather conditions.
