Job Description:
This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial architect to join our team. We are seeking a licensed architect with 5 to 10 years of experience in custom residential architecture. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about creating beautiful, innovative homes, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring design integrity, coordination, and construction quality.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and the internal design team to create beautiful, functional, and innovative residential designs.
- Oversee projects from schematic design through construction, ensuring that the design vision is maintained throughout all phases.
- Prepare comprehensive and detailed construction documents, including drawings, renderings, specifications, and other materials necessary for the construction process.
- Provide technical expertise in construction materials and techniques, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Maintain excellent communication and represent the firm well with all team members, clients, and contractors to facilitate smooth project execution.
Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in custom high-end residential architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and local building codes, with the ability to produce detailed and accurate construction documents.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish, overseeing all aspects of design, documentation, and construction.
- Must be licensed in Illinois have professional liability insurance (or be able to get) and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Proficiency with architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and the ability to work within a digital project management environment.
Compensation:
