Scott Steel LLC is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to help us increase our sales revenues and maintain customer relationships within an assigned territory of Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky.
The Outside Sales Representative will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve quotas. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services.
Ultimately, you will ensure our clients are happy and search for ways to grow our sales.
Reports To:
- VP of Sales
Responsibilities:
- Develop close relationships with new and existing customers.
- Use of lead qualification, cold calling, travel, presentations, and strong organization tools to convert leads to new accounts.
- Meet personal and team sales targets.
- Report and provide feedback to management using call reports and weekly itineraries.
- Attend meetings, sales events, and training seminars to keep abreast of the latest developments.
Job Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience at any level of the carbon steel sheet/coil business preferred.
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy and mill capabilities preferred.
- Understanding of the carbon steel market from mill suppliers to end user customer acquisition preferred.
- Ability to travel within your assigned territory.
- Excellent soft skills and cold calling techniques.
- Ability to build, and maintain customer relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ideal candidate will be within a couple of hours of Piqua, OH to come into the office periodically.
