Job Scope
Ambucor Health Solutions, a division of ScottCare, is looking for a motivated and dynamic CIED Reporting Technician to join their growing team. The CIED (Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device) Reporting Technician Participates in clinical reporting, training, customer relationships, and quality controls. The position includes summarization of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) data along with reporting the meaning in a preliminary format for physician review.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of workflow, policy and procedure, for all aspects of Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management (CRDM) management. The responsibility includes maintaining department operations, including, but not limited to:
- Collaborative agreement between department and customer for department’s clinical service.
- Notification protocols developed between the department and customer for clinical data management; and
- Event reporting and clinical care delivery.
- Participate in managing CIED data in a 24/7/365 department and work as directed with all personnel employed within the CIED department.
- Ability to perform department operational duties from basic through reporting level responsibilities.
- Communicate appropriate clinical information to customers/physicians.
- Troubleshoot customer inquiries.
- Identifying ‘Normal’ from ‘Abnormal’ reports.
- Indicate data that requires urgent or emergent evaluation.
- Reporting data to assigned clinic(s) that require urgent or emergent evaluation within designated turnaround time(s).
- Able to interpret CIED information.
- Initiate and develop preliminary reports along with supporting information presented for provider interpretation.
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in a healthcare related field or biomedical technology, or at least two years of job-related experience (i.e. pacemaker technician, experience with remote monitoring).
CIED Reporting Technician must be a Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) or obtain the certification within 12 months of assuming the position.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Cardiac Rhythm Device technologies, including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders.

Work Environment
The CIED Reporting Technician works primarily indoors in a remote home office location.
