We're committed to giving children back their childhood!Job Posting Title : PRN Therapy TechnicianLocation : Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical CenterAdditional Posting Details : 20 hours per week, per clinic needs.Job Description : Duties / Responsibilities Participates in assigned responsibilities by the supervising therapist to provide services as specified in the therapy plan of care within the scope of on-the-job training with supervision by a PT, PTA, OT, or OTA who is on the premises and readily available to respond in person Communicates with supervising PT and / or OT, the response of patients / families and motivates the patient / family to follow treatment regimens at home. Obtains data related to the interventions provided.A Therapy Technician I may not : Perform any evaluative or assessment activities; Initiate physical or occupational therapy treatment, to include exercise instruction; or Write or sign physical or occupational therapy documents in the permanent record, except to enter quantitative data for tasks delegated by the supervising PT or OT. Required Skills / Abilities High School education or equivalent Certification in BLS. Preferred experience in working with children with disabilities or a therapy setting Working Environment Working conditions : both inside and outside. Working Position : sitting, standing, and walking. Physical Demands : heavy. Physical Requirements : lifting / carrying, pushing / pulling, crawling, repetitive movement, stooping / kneeling / bending, climbing, balancing. An Individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in this group : 35-50 lbs. Sensory / Communicative activities essential to the performance of this position : feeling, hearing, seeing, speaking.
