Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
- Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate the nursing care provided for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age, and adolescents
- Professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, for a designated time frame, and provides quality care to these patients
- Complete pre-surgical tasks, including, but not limited to, health history, surgical clearances, and communication with anesthesia team
- Communicate with patients and families by responding to voicemails and patient portal messages
- All other responsibilities as assigned at the discretion of the manager
- Flexibility in work hours (20 hours per week total - days and times may be adjusted based on team needs)
- Ability to work 100% of the time on site
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
- 1 or more years of experience as an RN required
- Pediatric nursing experience preferred
- American Heart Association BLS certification required
- American Heart Association PALS certification required, or within 6 months of hire.
- Demonstrate advanced and mature critical thinking and assessment skills
