JOB DESCRIPTION: COMPUTER TECHNICIAN
Reports To: Director of Technology
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Terms: 240 Days - 7 Hours/Day
Evaluation: State and/or Local Evaluation Protocol
Job Goal:
To perform all duties necessary to assist the Director of Technology in the administration of the technology programs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience and familiarity with Windows, as well as other current technologies
- Experience in hardware and software troubleshooting
- Experience in software installation and configuration
- Experience in hardware component replacement and configurations.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Perform hardware maintenance and upgrades including servers and workstations (includes downloading all server patches, monitoring anti-virus software and server information reports).
- Maintain inventory of necessary parts on a daily basis.
- Test new technologies.
- Provide technical support in all areas deemed necessary by the Director.
- Respond to all communications (email, telephone, written, etc.) in a professional and timely manner.
- Communicate to school system personnel any schedule changes.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
