As the Next Gen AVL/Engineer, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to the Production Director and are responsible for providing creative and technical expertise, oversight, training, operation, and leadership for the Next Gen Ministries of Scottsdale Bible Church (SBC).

As the Next Gen AVL/Engineer, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to the Production Director and are responsible for providing creative and technical expertise, oversight, training, operation, and leadership for the Next Gen Ministries of Scottsdale Bible Church (SBC).
Your Essential Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Develop a team of Production volunteers. You will develop and implement a comprehensive and consistent volunteer engagement and training strategy, which aligns with the goals of SBC as it relates to the communication
- Manage and produce the technical execution of YTH worship services through oversight of volunteer teams
- Provide excellent and consistent Audio lighting and Video training and oversight for all services
- Operate sound recording equipment to record messages and special music for various distribution points (i.e. livestream, DVD, CD, website)
- Program, train and operate lighting systems and presentation software
- Oversee and maintain all AVL equipment specific to Next Gen areas, arrange for repairs as necessary and provide recommendations on any needed upgrades
- Maintain timely communication with Next Gen Staff, Production Director on all projects
- Oversee proper inventories of supplies at all Next Gen Equipment
- Ensure AVL support is always present when needed and consistent with quality control
- Perform installation of equipment as needed and directed
- Responsible for the assigned technical staffing needs of Next Gen events and maintain timely communication with the leaders of those events
- Coordinate AVL support for special events on and off campus such as Camps, Create, and VBS.
- Maintain oversight and support for Next Gen spaces and events at all campuses and provide training for their volunteers.
- Be present at other campuses as much as possible to evaluate equipment, needs and provide support and training. (visiting multiple campus warehouse, JHM and HSM spaces on a Sunday for example.)
- Attend Next Gen planning meetings as needed. Mostly larger events such as Camps.
- Attend Production Team Meetings and 1 to 1s with Production Director
- Related duties or special projects as assigned
