Here is what you will get to do :
1. Continuously monitors public areas and activities within these areas with emphasis on life safety, collection protection, asset security, crowd control and traffic (pedestrian and vehicular) control.
2. As assigned, responsible for facilities opening, ensuring everything is in ready to conduct business safely and / or ensures the buildings are secured and closed at the end of the day.
3. Performs continual welfare check or patrols of managed facilities.
4. Affords a deterrent to vandalism, theft, damage or loss of the collection, and in general the assets of the organization. Responds / Reports on activities of fire / intrusions alarm systems, CCTV system, access control, and other facility related systems.
5. Acts as first responder to fire / medical or other emergencies and incidents on site, liaise with emergency responders as needed.
6. In the absence of PS Lead or supervisor on duty, responds to and assumes responsibility for premises in emergency situations. Follow the established protocol on safety and coordinate the evacuation of the facilities in the event of an emergency.
7. Responsible for the placement and retrieval of various event or facility related signage, bollards and other safety apparatus as needed.
8. Completes reports on incidents that occurred during assigned shifts and ensures timely submission of these reports to appropriate Lead or supervisor.
9. Ensures established Protection Services parameters and protocols are being properly adhered to. Enforces policies, including the prevention of unauthorized facility access and use during building hours, events, and when the facilities are closed.
10. As directed by supervisor, assist with lead duties including training to PS and other staff. Provide information on updates or revisions of protocols and procedures to staff and guests. Contributes information regarding operations, upgrades, and training.
11. Conducts security, fire, and safety inspections and surveys. Recommending corrective actions as needed.
12. Interacts with a variety of stakeholders including guests, patrons, visitors, vendors, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner. Answer routine and non-routine questions, provide directions, and generally ensures good customer relations.
13. Performs other duties as required

1. Education : High School or equivalent.
2. Experience : Public Facility security experience preferred. Customer Service experience preferred.

4. Work Environment : Work may be performed outdoors, with exposure to inclement or heat extremes of weather.. Employee will be required to talk or hear, to use hands to handle or feel. Occasionally required to reach with arms and hands. Must be physically capable of standing or walking for long periods of time, climb and descend steps and in general have complete physical mobility, including kneeling, crouching, and stretching. Must possess full faculties of vision and hearing. May move or lift up to fifty pounds.. Position requires working events, which usually occur during evenings and weekends.
