Position Summary: Scottsdale Perinatal Associates is seeking an experienced Sonographer/Ultrasound Technician to produce high-quality two- and three-dimensional ultrasonic images of fetuses and internal organs. These images will aid physicians in diagnosing diseases, identifying fetal anomalies, evaluating growth, and studying organ malfunction. Candidates must excel in both image quality and time efficiency. Extensive experience in obstetrics (OB) is required, with perinatology experience preferred.
Employment Type: Full-time, Part-time, and Per Diem positions available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce detailed images of fetuses and internal organs.
- Become proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment according to the examination specifications.
- Explain the ultrasound process to patients, assist them in assuming the correct position for examination, and ensure their comfort.
- Select the appropriate transducer and adjust equipment controls to meet the specific needs of each test.
- Input patient information and test data into the ultrasound equipment to maintain accurate records.
- Use the transducer to capture and monitor the quality of the ultrasound images in real-time.
- Produce and record diagnostic data using computer disks, strip printouts, magnetic tapes, or films.
- Capture high-quality images of fetal and maternal organs for permanent records.
- Develop preliminary reports for review and finalization by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians in maintaining AIUM certification.
Qualifications:
- ARDMS/OB certification is required.
- CLEAR and NT certifications are mandatory.
- Fetal Echo certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
- Extensive experience in obstetrics (OB) ultrasound is required; perinatology experience is preferred.
