IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN-
Scotty’s Backflow is currently looking to hire a full time Irrigation Technician
Irrigation and Snowplow Technician. Willing to train the right candidate if lacking experience in one of the areas. We have built a large client base, due to great work ethic, honesty and a customer satisfaction. We are looking for a self-motivator that is responsible for being self-directed while performing service calls. We offer a range of year-round services to a diverse clientele, that includes Backflow testing/repair and installs, Sprinkler startups, maintenance checks, repairs and winterization/ blow outs. In the winter we provide snow removal, and de-icing for numerous clients. We take pride in keeping our customers happy and ensuring our employees feel appreciated.
The hourly rate of pay is $24-35 per hour (dependent on experience).
*Vacation/sick leave after 1 year
Specific Responsibilities/ Job Duties
- Good communication skills with public and team members
- Time Management
- Effectively meeting deadlines
- Working independently
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair residential and commercial sprinkler systems.
- Manage truck inventory and stock, and cleanliness to company vehicle that’s provided.
- Address clients' questions, comments, and concerns
- Plowing/de-ice in winter months.
- Computer/ Electronic skills
- Heavy Equipment knowledge
- Sets sprinkler heads and valve boxes.
- Tests irrigation systems for proper functioning.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance.
Position Qualifications
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong Customer and Client Focus
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Possess high communication skills, written and verbal.
- Must be able to work on a team as well as individually.
- Valid state driver’s license from state of residence within 30 days of hire, and a clean driving record per company standards.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day.
- Push and pull work below your feet, dig holes and walk long distances in all weather conditions.
