About The Role
The Lead will oversee the daily ongoings of the team of the processing and handling facility. This role will assist with recruitment and training of employees, ensure the safety of location employees, perform maintenance/operations related tasks, and enhance Scoular’s ability to operate in business. The Lead is responsible for compliance with food and facility safety requirements, parts inventory management and control, and quality assurance. The Lead will maintain the facility in a sanitary and suitable condition to meet company expectations.

The Lead is responsible for compliance with food and facility safety requirements, parts inventory management and control, and quality assurance. The Lead will maintain the facility in a sanitary and suitable condition to meet company expectations.
- Maintain the facility. Maintain the facility in an efficient and safe manner. Responsible for the preventative maintenance program, regular maintenance, and parts inventory. Ensure equipment is functional, safe and in good repair.
- Oversight. Direct staff’s daily activity. Responsible for scheduling laborers to meet work demands. Provide assistance with recruitment, training and direction of assigned facility personnel. Direct vendors and customers in the daily processes of the property. Lead by example and maintaining positive morale.
- Ensure safety practices are adhered to. Assure the safety of location’s work force by complying with all Federal, Provincial and Local regulations. Participate in monthly safety meetings and perform location inspections.
- Operations. Maintain the facility and its equipment, manage and minimize operating expenses, receive and ship product quickly and efficiently, establish guidelines and monitor cleaning equipment to optimize performance.
- Five years related work experience
- Knowledge of plant operations
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to plan and prioritize
- 1 years of lead experience
