Delivery Driver

Scout Distribution is an independently owned craft beer, wine and spirits distributor focused on building brands and providing exceptional customer service.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for full-time customer service-oriented Delivery Drivers. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and operating a forklift within a warehouse and cold box. All with an exceptional attitude!

We currently service the whole state of Arizona. Routes can very in distance and drivers will rotate out of town routes (Yuma, Tombstone, Flagstaff).

The candidate must be an ambitious and hardworking professional who does not mind working in hot or cold conditions and can work an entire shift on his or her feet and/or in and out of a delivery vehicle.

SCHEDULE: 4x10

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Delivers product to assigned accounts using moveable pallets with wheels.
• Verifies product load-out prior to leaving warehouse, then drives to deliver product to account and obtains customer signature on receipt acknowledging pickup or delivery.
• Places product in the appropriate place at the account, picks up empty containers or beer tagged by sales representative as rotation
• Upon returning to the warehouse verifies load-in, organizes paperwork from deliveries and places them in safe.
• Keeps inside of truck clean and complies with notifications for routine maintenance of tractor being used.
• At times, delivery drivers will be expected to pick their product and load trucks.
• Other warehouse duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Maintain a current/valid Arizona Commercial Driver’s License (NO Commercial Driver License necessary)
• Must have a clean driving record
• Great communication skills
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to read code dates proficiently
• Must be able to work holidays
• Previous beverage industry experience helpful, but not necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequently required to lift and/or move up to (50) lbs. for package product and up to (170) lbs. for keg product
Ability to operate various types of machinery to include, but not limited to forklifts, lift trucks, hand trucks, etc.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks
Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
