What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

• Facilitate cross functional responsibilities based on workload and knowledge base of peers
• Maintain a high level of communication with garage manager pertaining to workloads, personnel and equipment issues and needs.
• Perform diagnosis and repair of prototype vehicle electrical/mechanical/software systems
• Fabricate and/or modify existing prototype components/fixtures
• Install instrumentation, test equipment, and other components on prototype vehicles in accordance with engineering specifications, standards, and/or test procedures
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed
• Maintain test equipment in operational condition by performing routine maintenance and making minor repairs/adjustments as needed
• Communicate directly with engineers, parts personnel, fleet and other technicians to ensure a high level of technical support for a range of objectives
• Test drive vehicles
  
  

Location & Travel Expectations:

• This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, Michigan.
• The responsibilities of this role require regular attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
• Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company 25%-75% (at peak) of the time.
  
  

What you’ll bring

• 10 years of technician work experience in the automotive industry. Electric/hybrid vehicle experience required.
• Valid driver license with clean record
• Advanced driver training
• Strong automotive electrical understanding
• High Voltage electrical knowledge and training
• CAN/LIN network understanding
• Software flashing knowledge
• Fabrication experience
• Instrumentation experience
• Strong technical and mechanical ability
• Welding Certification
• High level of communication skills
• Towing Experience
• Availability to travel up to 75% of the time

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $120,000.00 - $135,000.00
