What you'll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Work from the Customer(s) perspective, driving quality in design and execution of products, through Key Performance Indicators and Specifications.
- Lead quality issue investigation inside the manufacturing plant. Track, analyze, and resolve, ensuring root cause is robust and verify corrective actions are effective, using statistical problem-solving methods (6 sigma, PDCA, A3,)
- Audit and identify gaps in quality systems of manufacturing partners by utilizing VDA standards and develop them to ensure best in class quality vehicles are delivered to customers.
- Coordinate input from internal/external customers to better understand customer's need and/or perception to improve audit plan
- Lead continuous improvement projects and supports investigation to improve overall quality performance
- Support all quality campaigns define material on quality hold and establish clean point activities.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
- The responsibilities of this role require daily attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor's degree in science or related field, or equivalent of 10 years Automotive Experience. Bachelors degree preferred.
- 3 years of progressive experience leading and building teams
- Data driven with a passion for developing people
- Automotive/Body Shop experience
- Strong technical skills in networking, hardware, and software systems
- Knowledge of BIW Flush & Gap measurement concepts, Joining Tech and Surface Finish requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- The ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions/specifications
- Strong understanding of Body in White manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques (SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP).
- Experience with quality auditing and standards (VDA, IATF, ISO 9001).
- Proficient in measurement technology.
- Lean Six Sigma Green certification.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
Internal leveling code: IC9
