Job Summary : The Archery Director is responsible for overseeing the archery program, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience for camp participants. The director will manage all aspects of the archery range, maintain equipment, and provide instruction that adheres to the highest safety standards.

Wage - $516.00-533.00 per week after R&B of $45.00 / week
Key Responsibilities :
Plan, organize, and deliver an archery program that is appropriate for the age and ability of the campers.Provide instruction in archery techniques, safety, and range commands.Provide quality classroom experience for campers pursuing the Archery Merit Badge.Supervise and train range assistants and other archery staff.Perform regular safety inspections and maintenance on archery equipment to ensure it is in good condition.Develop and enforce all archery range safety rules and procedures.Coordinate with other camp staff to schedule archery sessions and integrate them into the overall camp program.Maintain accurate records of equipment use and condition, as well as incident reports.Promote sportsmanship and foster a supportive environment for all participants.Support overall operations of Schoepe Scout Reservation at Lost Valley and the Scouting America, Orange County Council .Submit an end of summer reportPhysical Demands :

18 years of age or olderObtain Archery Instructor (Level 1 or higher) from a recognized archery organization.Experience in archery instruction with youth or adults of various skill levels.Strong understanding of range operations and maintenance requirements.Available to work all summerAbility to live on site during the summer season working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as program scheduling requires.Have or be willing to obtain membership in Scouting AmericaHave or be willing to obtain Live Scan background check.All camp staff must have a completed annual physical done by a medical provider prior to the start of the summer camp seasonSummer camp experience preferredBenefits :

This is a seasonal position with the possibility of renewal based on program success.Work involves significant outdoor activity and exposure to varying weather conditions.Working in a camp environment includes providing customer service, solving problems, and cooperation with others, regardless of your title.
