What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Plan and coordinate Design projects as a member of the Scout Design Team.
  • Collaborate closely with the diverse Design teams to define clear project scopes, objectives and deliverables, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals.
  • Represent Design to other departments and external stakeholders, providing clear direction, support, and guidance throughout the project. Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment to maximize productivity and creativity.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement proactive measures to address challenges, ensuring timely completion of milestones and adherence to budgets.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is well-informed about project progress and any changes in requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes, to ensure clear visibility into project activities and progress.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
  • Support continuous improvement and learning within the project team by facilitating retrospectives and sharing best practices.

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, Michigan. 
  • The responsibilities of this role require 4-5 days per week attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly. 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company domestically 5% of the time.
  • Travel: Domestic travel approximately 5% of the time. 

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is considered a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in project management/coordination, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies, and the ability to adapt them to suit the unique requirements of automotive projects.
  • Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships
  • Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgement
  • Familiarity with design processes, particularly in the automotive field is a strong advantage.
  • Valid driver's license

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $120,000.00 - $150,000.00

Internal leveling code: IC9
