The Director will take ownership of HR technology initiatives, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance, and other business functions) to optimize technology adoption, ensure integration across systems, and lead the evolution of HR processes. This role also involves managing a team of HR technology professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous development, and driving change management, release management, and product lifecycle best practices. The Director will take ownership of HR technology initiatives, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance, and other business functions) to optimize technology adoption, ensure integration across systems, and lead the evolution of HR processes. This role also involves managing a team of HR technology professionals, ensuring high performance and continuous development, and driving change management, release management, and product lifecycle best practices. Responsibilities:

HR Technology Leadership & Oversight:

  • Lead the strategic direction and operations of Workday HCM , Workday Financials , and other HR technology platforms, ensuring they are aligned with the organization’s needs and goals.
  • Provide high-level oversight of system upgrades, integrations, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring all technology solutions are optimized for performance and user experience.
  • Work closely with HR leadership, IT, and business stakeholders to drive the adoption of HR technologies that support business objectives, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure HR systems evolve with the latest trends and best practices in the HR tech space, providing guidance on system design and configurations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of HR technology professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Champion cross-departmental collaboration, working with key stakeholders in HR, IT, Finance, and other business functions to drive technology adoption and transformation.
  • Manage key partnerships across the organization, ensuring seamless communication and effective decision-making between business leaders, IT teams, and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs).
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for the HR technology team, helping them stay aligned with evolving HR technology landscapes and organizational needs.

People Analytics & Reporting:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive people analytics strategy, ensuring that HR data provides actionable insights that drive business decisions.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that track HR and financial metrics, delivering clear and meaningful insights to HR and business leaders.
  • Ensure data governance policies are followed to maintain the accuracy, integrity, and security of HR data across systems.
  • Support compliance with data privacy regulations and HR data security standards.

HR Systems Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

  • Oversee HRIS projects to improve HR processes, enhance system capabilities, and streamline workflows across Workday HCM and Workday Financials.
  • Provide training and support to HR, IT, and business users on the use of HR systems and analytics tools, ensuring maximum adoption and effective use of technology.
  • Establish and maintain a change management framework to ensure smooth transitions during system upgrades, new implementations, and other HR technology changes, minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Implement best practices for release management, managing monthly and quarterly release cycles, ensuring updates and new features are deployed efficiently with minimal business impact.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle management of HR technology systems, ensuring continuous improvements, system optimizations, and enhancements are in place to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business Administration, Data Science, Human Capital Management (HCM) or a related field, required.
  • Master’s degree, preferred
  • 7 to 10 years of experience managing HR technology systems, with deep expertise in Workday HCM and familiarity with Workday Financials is a MUST .
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale HR technology projects, with experience in HRIS management, system integrations, and working within an Agile methodology.
  • Strong experience in change management, release management, and managing monthly and quarterly release cycles for HR systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, with experience leading cross-functional teams and building strong partnerships across HR, IT, Finance, and other business functions.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, including payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, performance management, and finance-related HR data.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday configuration, EIBs, Business Processes (BPs), security, and custom reporting.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement people analytics strategies, providing data-driven insights that influence decision-making.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a focus on driving results through collaboration and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and an ability to drive continuous improvement in HR systems and processes.
