As a Chief of Emergency Department, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of emergency medicine at Riverview Regional Medical Center. You will oversee the Emergency Department, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance patient outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the daily operations of the Emergency Department, including staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement best practices
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
**Requirements**
- Proven track record in emergency medicine leadership, preferably as a Medical Director or similar role
- Board certification in emergency medicine (ABEM or equivalent)
- Current medical licensure in Alabama (or eligible for reciprocity)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
