Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced physician leader to oversee multiple freestanding emergency rooms within the LewisGale system.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency medicine leadership, with experience in managing high-volume emergency departments.
The LewisGale system features an 85,000 annual ED volume, 506 hospital beds, and a team of skilled medical professionals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 64 hours of physician coverage and 70 hours of NP/PA coverage across the system.
Key Requirements:
- ABEM/ABEMO certification
- Board eligibility/certification in emergency medicine
- History of taking ATLS required
- Previous medical leadership experience

LewisGale Medical Center is a 506-bed facility located in Salem, Virginia.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of multiple freestanding ERs
- Manage physician and NP/PA staff
- Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives
