Hospitality Captain
As a Party Lead at Scramble you must be friendly, outgoing, and ready to communicate effectively about the wonderful and unique opportunities Scramble provides children and their families for clean, safe fun. As a part of the Scramble Team responsible for delivering outstanding guest service you will also be eligible to participate in the Scramble tip sharing pool, which can range from $2--$4 per hour in additional compensation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Under the general direction of the Associate Director for Parties and Events, the Party Lead executes all aspects of the birthday party program. This position is focused on task follow through and high customer interaction.
- Conduct pre-party coordination with Guest Hosts to plan all aspects of the party including guest lists, food orders, and book party favors.
- Greet Party Hosts and guests upon arrival and ensure parties run smoothly, coordinating efforts of other Scramble Team Members as needed to deliver outstanding guest service
- Responsible for ensuring birthday party rooms are set-up and clean prior to and after each party
- Effectively manage party schedules and proactively conduct time management to ensure parties begin and end as scheduled
- Organize and manage party supply inventory
- Support the Associate Director of Parties and Events as needed
- Communicate with guests to maintain Scramble brand and positive image of the business.
Qualifications
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team to provide exceptional customer service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to build relationships with guests, the public, and other team members
- Proactive, demonstrating the ability to identify, address, and resolve problems as well as suggest improvements
- Organized, responsible and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Available and willing to work at least 30 hours per week on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Education/Experience
Any combination of education and experience providing the knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Minimum employment standards are:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of previous supervisory and visitor service or event coordination experience is necessary
- Able to lift 25 lbs
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Basic record keeping and computer skills and comfortable working with Excel and Microsoft Word software
