Responsibilities
- Repairing, overhauling, or adjusting automotive brake systems
- Repairing or replacing defective ball joint suspensions, brake shoes, or wheel bearings
- Inspecting and testing new automobiles for damage and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made
- Testing electronic computer components in automobiles to ensure proper operation
- Testing and repairing automobile engines to ensure proper and efficient functioning
- Installing or repairing air conditioners and service components, such as compressors, condensers and controls
- Repairing, replacing, or adjusting defective fuel injection systems and components as required
- Removing and replacing defective mufflers and tailpipes
- Tire replacement & balancing along with performing 4 wheel alignments
Job Requirements
As an Automotive Technician you must have experience and knowledge with auto mechanic diagnosis, problem solving and repair.
- Technical degree preferred
- ASE certifications preferred
- Minimum of 1 year in service department
- A high level of motivation and energy and strong customer service skills are also required
- Ability to identify the problem quickly
- Good knowledge of automobiles
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Excellent driving history
- Must be neat, punctual and thorough
- Only serious candidates having GM certification or equivalent need apply
