Job description
An Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting maintenance and inspections on all types of equipment to ensure they are in proper working order. Their duties include making repairs, conducting safety inspections, and keeping an accurate log of all the work performed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment, including but not limited to shredders, eddy currents, and more.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct daily inspections on equipment and report any defects or needed repairs to the supervisor.
• General Labor: Perform general labor duties such as sweeping, shoveling, and general cleanup of any area and/or equipment.
• Cross-Training: Willing to cross-train in other positions and assist other teammates as needed.
• Component Replacement: Change liners, grates, hammers, bearings, motors, gearboxes, conveyor belts, sprockets, drive chains, hydraulic hoses, hydraulic cylinders, and hydraulic motors as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain required paperwork such as OSHA 300 logs in compliance with federal law.
• Safety Compliance: Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures and wear proper PPE as required.
• Support and Training: Support and instruct all newly recruited employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of previous industrial maintenance experience.
• Skills: Strong mechanical abilities, including major welding, torching, and fabrication.
• Certifications: Trained and certified in rigging and/or signaling.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day and work at heights above one story.
• Flexibility: Flexible to work off-hours, weekends, and holidays, including overtime as required by production.
• Teamwork: Ability to work closely with others in a team environment and effectively communicate.

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
