On-Site Medical Scribe Position

Why Scribekick? A medical scribe plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters in real time. As a scribe with Scribekick you will receive:

• One-on-one time with physicians and other healthcare providers.

• On the job training that provides in-depth knowledge of HPI documentation, EMR systems, medical terminology, disease processes, procedures, medications, medical decision making, and more.

• Specialties you can work with: Primary Care (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics), Surgical Specialties (Orthopedic, General, Breast, Urology, Dermatology), Medical Specialties (Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary, Radiation Oncology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Management).

Qualifications:

• Consistent availability

• Reliable transportation

• Typing test score of 60 WPM

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Minimum GPA 3.2

• Passion for the medical field

• Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Scribe in real-time while accompanying physicians during the clinic, documenting patient information into the EMR (history, chief complaint, review of systems, physical exam, assessment and plan).

• Input orders as directed by the provider including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.

• Handle any and all patient information with the utmost compliance to HIPAA regulations.

• Communicate any provider?s schedule changes to the client services team

Location: On-site

• Richmond, Henrico, Mechanicsville, Colonial Heights, Midlothian, Charlottesville, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Salem, Blacksburg and Roanoke.

Compensation:

• Hourly rate $12 - $15 per hour based on experience and location

• On the job training

• Referral program earning $150 or more

• Bi-weekly direct deposit
