Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications to teach two black and white darkroom photography classes (one introductory and one intermediate level course) in the Spring ’26 semester. This position is for two courses only.
Scheduled course days/times are:
Mondays and Wednesdays: 10am -12pm, 1:15 -3:15pm
- An MFA in Art with a specialty in darkroom photography required
- College level teaching experience, inclusive of TA-ships, required.
- Applicants should possess a broad knowledge of contemporary art.
- Ability to teach darkroom techniques and some alternative process work.
- Train and manage work-study students.
- In addition to teaching, responsibilities include budgeting and management of materials and maintaining the darkroom on teaching days.
