Key Responsibilities:
- Assumes clinical leadership responsibilities for nursing and nursing practice.
- Active in house-wide clinical program planning.
- Evaluates clinical practice for patient care and monitors the standards of practice.
- Provides evidence-based resources and change theories to promote organizational improvements.
- Facilitates decision making activities, including education, research, and performance improvement.
Requirements:
- Two years full-time equivalent experience as an RN, preferably in the APN role.
- Current CA RN license.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS card required.
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring Certificate (AWHONN or NCC accepted).
- Advanced NRP certification required.
- Master's degree required; CNS preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three to five years' experience working in Maternal Child Health.
- Leadership experience with measurable outcomes.
- CNS certification preferred.
- National Board Certification through ANCC and/or equivalent in specialty area preferred.
- Doctorate recommended, preferably in Nursing.
