POSITION TITLE : Animal Resources Supervisor II
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
- Establishes and oversees the daily work schedule for staff, ensuring tasks are completed per standard operating procedures, including tracking attendance.
- Supervises cage washing operations, including personnel management and equipment maintenance.
- Sets customer service standards for laboratories requiring custom arrangements.
- Schedules and attends laboratory check-in meetings to update customer service standards.
- Collaborates with the Manager and Director on researcher space needs.
- Compiles monthly billing, reconciles cage inventory, and maintains all pertinent records.
- Documents and reports weekly facility quality assurance (QA) with appropriate follow-ups.
- Manages employee relations, including performance evaluations, counseling, disciplinary actions, and assisting the Manager and Director with discipline and termination processes.
- Participates in reviewing, interviewing, and assessing candidates, providing recommendations to the Manager and Director in the recruiting and hiring of new staff.
- Communicates with research staff on animal health, breeding, or regulatory issues and assists veterinary staff in training on animal health observations and treatments.

COMPENSATION :
The expected hiring range for this position is $82,000 to $98,400 per year, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements.
