Crew Leader / Lead Carpenter

Overview :

Scroggs Construction Services is seeking motivated Crew Leaders / Lead Carpenters to oversee remodeling, restoration, and new home construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive carpentry experience, and a willingness to grow within our expanding organization. This position involves supervising a crew, problem-solving complex carpentry challenges, and ensuring project success.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and supervise a crew, including a Carpenter and Carpenters Helper, ensuring all carpentry tasks are completed efficiently.
• Work closely with project supervisors and coordinate with other trades as needed.
• Solve complex construction and remodeling issues independently.
• Oversee job site organization, cleanliness, and equipment servicing.
• Perform all aspects of carpentry, including rough and finish carpentry, demolition, and concrete work (e.g., footings and elevated structures).
• Establish and mark reference points for layouts and construction.
• Assist in preparing estimates, reports, and requisitions.
• Step in for supervisors when required.
• Mentor and manage crew members' development throughout their tenure.

Requirements :

Proficiency in operating all carpentry tools and equipment.
