SCS Engineers is looking for a Project Manager to serve solid waste clients and facilities in northeastern and east central Wisconsin (Green Bay and Fox Cities area). You will immediately be contributing to existing client relationships and will be supported in growing existing and new client relationships. Your role will include project management and business development. Projects will focus on planning, permitting, design, construction, and operations for landfills, transfer stations, and material recovery facilities (MRF). As part of the Upper Midwest Business Unit, you will work with other local team members in the Green Bay and Fox Cities area and staff in our Madison, WI, Milwaukee, WI, and Naperville, IL, offices, as well as colleagues and experts across the US.

As a Project Manager, you will:
- Prioritize and follow SCS health and safety protocols
- Engage with clients by respond to inquiries, assessing needs, and developing tailored proposals for needed work
- Coordinate staffing to complete quality work/projects
- Strengthen client relationships by maintaining and expanding connections while seeking new business opportunities
- Manage profitability of your projects
- Integrate with other Environmental Services and Solid Waste Services staff across the company
- Collaborate with Upper Midwest colleagues and SCS national technical experts as we develop strategies for expanding ways in which we contribute to our clients’ success
- Review requests for proposal (RFPs), assist with go/no go decisions, and draft and/or review proposals
As a technical professional, you will work with a team to assist our clients in resolving a wide variety of solid waste and environmental challenges. Your work may include:
- Overseeing/coordinating/occasionally assisting field work, including but not limited to, surveys/data gathering; liner, cover, and landfill gas installations; inspections, etc.
- Overseeing/coordinating/reviewing office-based tasks, including CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, reports, creating site plans and facility diagrams, permit applications, etc.
- Gathering data and completing periodic regulatory submittals for solid waste clients, including groundwater, storm water, landfill gas, and leachate data.
- Reviewing technical documents/submittals for consistency with client strategies and applicable regulations.
- Supporting construction projects at solid waste sites.
- Bachelor degree or vocational certificate in construction management, engineering or equivalent education and/or 15 years of relevant work on solid waste facility or environmental projects required.
- Business Development experience in the Central U.S. market preferred.
- Competent with using MS Office and other computer software normally used in environmental consulting.
- Experience using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil3D design software is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing required.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
