Under the general supervision of Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager performs a variety of duties necessary to provide efficient member service and effective branch operation in conformance with the established Credit Union policies, procedures, and objectives.
Assistant Branch Manager must be a motivated individual with the ability to promote credit union membership. The appropriate candidate must be responsible for implementation of operational policies and procedures. In addition, must be able to work as a team player as well as independently.
This is a full-time position. Currently evening and Saturday hours are required.

Assistant Branch Manager Responsibilities

- Provides a professional leadership role to all Sharon Credit Union employees.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of system applications, teller services, and member services
- Possess a full and comprehensive understanding of Sharon Credit Union’s history, philosophy, organization, and operational policies and procedures
- Assists Manager in preserving a secure teller office by enforcing all security procedures.
- In the absence of Branch Manager:
- Oversee all member interactions at the branch office concerning member services and teller functions
- Oversee ordering of cash by head teller
- Responsible for staff and scheduling as necessary
- Responsible for member account confidentiality and privacy - Maintain and secure credit union and member information
- Complies with all policies and procedures for branch
- Ability to cross-sell SCU’s various products and services
- Perform all duties of a member service representative
- Handle member inquiries as is needed
- Actively promotes and demonstrates SCU’s mission and vision statements
- Answer member phone calls and provide follow-up as necessary
- Assist in any area as directed by the President, Operations Manger, or Branch Manager
- Ensure that branch office inside/out lobby areas are neat, clean, and presentable
- Assist Branch Manager in running the monthly branch meetings.
- Assist in the continuous training of the staff
- Other duties as may be required
Requirements
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, an Associate’s Degree, and/or 3-5 years in Retail Banking -Credit Union experience. Teller background preferred.

Salary : $58,000 - $70,000
