Job Description Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinician to provide in-person, outpatient psychotherapy services. This job posting is for fully licensed therapists, not registered associates. At SCV Counseling Center, we treat clients of all ages and backgrounds, and cover a wide variety of mental health challenges. We also partner with Los Angeles County to provide services to high-need, at risk populations. You may be a good fit for us if you : Are a licensed LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW You are in good standing with the California BBS You live within commuting distance of our Newhall, Valencia, or Lancaster branch offices You enjoy collaborating with a diverse team of professionals You want to make a difference in the communities that we serve While not required, it is a plus if you : Speak other languages in addition to English Can provide clinical supervision to our associates and trainees. The responsibilities of this role include providing mental health and adjunct services for children, adults and families : 1. Conduct intake sessions and complete all required intake and assessment paperwork. 2. Conduct outreach and engagement services with clientele. 3. Conduct individual, conjoint, and / or family sessions. Maintain caseload. 4. Conduct group sessions when required. 5. Collaborate with collateral contacts including family, school personnel, referral sources, residential team, as needed. 6. Manage client charts utilizing electronic medical records system and complete all documentation of work with clients, including Treatment / Care Plan, Progress Notes, etc. Must be timely, accurate and comply with BBS standards, as well as agency standard and procedures. Failure to maintain client records may result in termination after a warning. 7. Case management activities could include telephone calls, advocacy work for clients as well as other community outreach activities. 8. Actively participate in the treatment planning of clients utilizing treatment team meetings, supervision and available resources to help determine the best treatment modality for each respective client 9. Participate in agency meetings, as well as assigned external meetings 10. Attend and participate in mandatory training and in-services as required. 11. Other related tasks and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by program and assigned by supervisor.
